At your disposal:

  • SciFinderⁿ (CAS, American Chemical Society),  highly specialized chemistry database. It allows you to check Chemical Abstracts, plus Medline, patents from many countries and indexes thousands of journals. Contains information resources in the field of pharmacology and biology. SciFinderN training and FAQs . To query this database, you need to register online and fill in a specific form. Find instructions for registration and the form in the attachment.
  • European Pharmacopoeia on lineThe European Pharmacopoeia is Europe's legal and scientific reference point for high-quality medicines, essential to the pharmaceutical industry. It is a collection of monographs, now accessible online, describing the quality standards for ingredients, dosage forms and methods of analysis for drugs. Contact the library to access the platform
  • JoVE. Journal of Visualized Experimentes  Research & Education. Peer-reviewed digital resource, indexed in video format. It is implemented monthly with new videos and articles, which also include a protocol in textual format aimed at reproducibility in the laboratory. Unlimited subscription, full access to all sections. To integrate JoVE Education & Research videos into educational and laboratory activities, follow the webinar on youtube
  • Merck's Index online (Royal Society of Chemistry): the Merck Index is a comprehensive and easily searchable chemical biological database. It is considered the most authoritative source of information on chemicals, for the accuracy of structures, drugs and biological products. It contains over 11,500 monographs, including historical documents. The Merck Index Online is updated regularly with expertly curated information.
  • CCDC (Cambridge Crystallographic data centre) the most up-to-date crystal structure database
  • Scopus: bibliographic and citational database of peer-reviewed academic literature, publisher Elsevier. It performs the automatic calculation of the h-index and other bibliometric values
  • WOS (Web of Science): is a multidisciplinary and citation database that allows you to search thousands of scientific journals. It also allows you to calculate the h-index of the authors and contains the Journal Citation Reports with the calculation of the Impact Factor and the ranking of the journals by disciplinary sector (Clarivate)
  • SciVal (Elsevier), is a platform for the analysis of research results. Starting from the data of scientific production, the platform allows you to make comparisons and extract performance data both at the level of the structure and of the individual researcher.
  • Acland's Video Atlas of Human Anatomy  Platform with over 300 commented videos. Tutorial attached
  • BioOne Over 200 subscribed and open-access titles in the biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. (Select UPO in the list of institutions, and authenticate by entering your University credentials)
  • Ulrichsweb – Library database that provides information on the "life" of scientific journals in many academic fields (inception, termination, title changes, standard number, editorial information, etc.)
