Basic research aimed at studying elementary particles and fundamental interactions at the maximum energies that can be reached in the laboratory. Development of detectors for the detection of ionizing radiation, with applications in particle physics, or in the diagnostic and therapeutic field.
Technological Resources
Data analysis. Development of detectors. Development of trigger systems. Development of test systems for the development of detectors or electronic cards.
Member of the CMS international collaboration (HEP experiment at LHC CERN).
Member of the international collaboration NA62 (HEP experiment at SPS CERN).
Member of the RD50 international collaboration (R&D silicon detector)
