Activity and fields of competence

The research activity of this group is aimed at defining the molecular aspects underlying the mechanism of action of drugs known for innovative therapeutic applications, or potential leads for the development of original therapies. The pathological models under study are oncology (especially in the field of leukaemia) and that of pathologies of viral aetiology (with specific reference to HIV).

In particular, the effects of old and new drugs on:

1. Cell cycle control mechanisms
2. Control mechanisms of cell differentiation / maturation
3. Activation / inactivation of enzymes responsible for acetylation of histones and transcription factors
